Detailed Itinerary
Day 1- Meet and Greet
Drive from Kampala to QE making a stopover at the equator for a few minutes and taking snapshots, then we resume our journey and drive to Ihamba lodge for check-in where we will find our lunch ready. And relax before an evening game drive on the Kasenyi plains
DAY 2: Climbing Lion
Early in the morning drive to explore the Edward Flats and the Ishasha Plains with our packed lunch in order to find the region’s famous tree-climbing lions as well as abundant kob, topi, buffalo and elephant.
Take a picnic lunch either under the shade of a fig tree or in one of the bandas which belongs to UWA
in the afternoon take a nature walk with our guide along the river to see hippos, crocodiles, and many birds. The river forms the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Find a remote location for your bush-camp and enjoy an evening game drive before returning to your lodge for a night in the wilderness.
DAY 3: Boatcruise
Wakeup very early in the morning for to set off for chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge, Explore this ‘underground forest’ before a picnic of an early lunch overlooking the gorge, or at one of the nearby lodges.
After lunch we rush back for the boat cruise at kazinga channel which is the best experience and on this cruise you will be able to see hippos, elephants and many other animals and bird species, which will take 3-4hours.
Then late in the evening we will have a guided night game drive which will expose us to the beauty of wild animals and there way of life in night.
DAY 4: Return
After an early morning breakfast we check out from the lodge, and go for a game drive through the Ishasha plains for a final visit with the lions and other wildlife and also drive to take a Crater Lake drive to the baboon cliff before heading out of the park on our way back to Kampala
